KWK Marcel was unrivaled in the giant slalom ski competition for the Cup of the President of Kompania Węglowa, which was successfully held on March 5, 2016 at SN Cieńków.
Among the 9 teams that participated in the "box" competition were KWK Marcel - it scored 1,573 points, KWK Chwałowice was ranked second (1,492 points), and third place was taken by KWK Jankowice (1,489 points).
Cups and medals were presented to the players by Jerzy Janczewski, who last week took over as the vice-president of Kompania Węglowa for work, and Piotr Wilchelm - President of Nadwiślańska Agencja Turystyczna Sp. z o. o., Rafał Kincer - Operations Director of Nadwiślańska Agencja Turystyczna Sp. z o. o. and Krzysztof Brożyna - Director of the Cieńków Supreme Court in Wisła.
In addition to Kompania Węglowa's employees, their children and spouses also took part in the competitions, which were supposed to be family-friendly. The fastest skier in this year's competition was a representative of the KW Centrala (but not a KW employee) - Maciej Bugiel, who achieved a time of 26.08.
The best skiers among Kompania Węglowa employees were: Joanna Patas (Jankowice) and Damian Skupień (Chwałowice). As a reward, they received cups and vouchers for a weekend for two people at any chosen mountain resort of the Vistula Tourist Agency.

3rd group (girls 13-19 years old): 1. Wiktoria Siedlaczek (Rydułtowy) - 29.26; 2. Martyna Motyka (Jankowice) - 29.95; 3. Dorota Górecka (Chwałowice) - 31.14.
Group IV (boys 13-19 years old): 1. Mikołaj Ryguła (Bolesław Śmiały) - 27.62; 2. Krzysztof Stabik (Bolesław Śmiały) - 27.83; 3. Bartosz Sawicki (Marcel) - 27.95.
Group V (women 46 years and older): 1. Maria Górecka (Chwałowice) - 32.16; 2. Joanna Patas (Jankowice) - 33.66; 3. Barbara Smusz (Marcel) - 33.67.
Group VI (men 51 years and older): 1. Tomasz Smusz (Marcel) - 26.75; 2. Eugeniusz Białas (Centrala KW) - 31.25; 3. Adam Knopek (Jankowice) - 31.43.
7th group (women 36-45 years old): 1. Renata Jończyk (Jankowice) - 32.33; 2. Edyta Gołda (Ziemowit) - 34.65; 3. Marzena Kryst (Marcel) - 38.01.
8th group (women 20-35 years old): 1. Ksymena Smusz (Marcel) - 28.47; 2. Agnieszka Kasperek (Bolesław Śmiały) - 31.19; 3. Małgorzata Kryst (Marcel) - 31.61).
IX group (men 36-50 years old): 1. Dariusz Ryguła (Bolesław Śmiały) - 27.58; 2. Wojciech Kurasz (Marcel) - 28.27; 3. Adam Siedlaczek (Rydułtowy) - 28.56.
