February 29, 2020 The Mining Industry Giant Slalom Ski Competition will be held on the slope of the Cieńków Ski Station in Wisła. This year's edition of the competition was held under the honorary patronage of the Government Plenipotentiary for the restructuring of the hard coal mining industry, Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets, Adam Gawęda.
The aim of the competition is to popularize downhill skiing among the mining industry in the Silesian region as the best form of active recreation after work in the winter. Every year, the event integrates employees of mines, plants and companies associating the mining industry.
Participants of the competition may be: current employees of mines, plants and companies with capital links to the mining industry in Silesia.
