On September 26, 2015, the Górnicze Sailing Regatta in the Omega class for the Cup of the President of Nadwiślańska Agencja Turystyczna Sp. was held at the "Fregata" Sailing Center in Zarzecze. z o. o. The organizer of the event was, of course, NAT.
All previously registered crews took part in the regatta - six crews from KW SA and one from JSW SA.
The official start of the regatta took place at 10.00 and was followed by a sailing ceremony. The regatta commander was Piotr Wilchelm - president of Nadwiślańska Agencja Turystyczna Sp. z o. o. The main judge, just like last year, was Henryk Wolny - a first-class judge. The competitors and invited guests were welcomed by Aneta Poraniewska - Regatta Manager.
Initially, 7 runs were planned in a transfer system so that each crew sailed on each yacht. However, due to heavy rainfall and decreasing wind, only 5 runs were held, which were enough to classify the teams. The unfavorable weather did not prevent the sailors from competing and the gathered fans from cheering for their crews.
At. 6.00 p.m. – the closing ceremony of the Regatta took place, the results were announced and prizes were awarded. The cups were presented on behalf of the Regatta Commander by Rafał Kincer - NAT Operations Director, who thanked the sailors for their sportsmanship and the spectators for their wonderful support.
The cups were won by:
KWSA - KWK "Bolesław Śmiały" - helmsman: Grzegorz Szymon
JSW – KWK “Knurów Szczygłowice” – helmsman: Jan Zadroga
KWSA - KWK "Piast" - helmsman: Maciej Świerczek
The day ended with a performance of the "P.A.G.A.J" band, with whom everyone sang shanties and there was no end to the good fun.
All crews and invited guests highly appreciated the organization of the Regatta and have already declared their participation in next year's edition.
