The second largest valley with a total area of 63.5 km². Shaped by a glacier. Scientists estimate that the local area was carved by a 60 km² block 300 meters thick. The main part begins at the Tatra Gate, i.e. Łysa Polana - a former shepherd's pasture, where the most important border crossing between Poland and Slovakia was once located.
