A boat trip down the Poprad Valley, organized by CENTRUM since 2000, is one of the biggest attractions of the region. Safe boats manufactured by CENTRUM have a very shallow draft, which allows for rafting at low river levels. The boat is guided by two rafters who steer it using wooden poles. The rafting starts at the marina in Piwniczna at ul. Gąsiorowskiego (below the suspension bridge), which can be reached by heading towards the border crossing with Slovakia. After about 10 km of rafting, the boats reach the marina in Rytro, located next to the football pitch. During the rafting, you can admire the beautiful landscapes of the Beskid Mountains, and on a boat rocked by the rapids of the river, you can experience experiences that years ago only rafters rafting here, or even earlier, merchants transporting timber, could experience their goods from Hungary on rafts.
